Advantages to the Open Frame
Our Open Frame racks are just that and do not have the option for Side Panels and/or Doors. This gives them several advantages over fully enclosed server cabinets:-
Price - Much more cost effective on product and delivery
Footprint - 27% smaller than a cabinet with no compatibility issues
Access - No side panels or doors means easier installation and cable access
Airflow - No restrictions so temperature can be regulated more easily
Caster Kits provide convenient rack access in confined spaces and have a 450kg weight capacity. We only recommend them for use on racks of 30U and below. Additional Vertical Management Bars can be mounted in 8 different locations per rack and have multiple tie points. They also include numerous holes for cable pass-thru. The Rack Top can be used to close off the top of the rack. This prevents debris from falling into the rack and also be used as a top shelf. These can be found below.
